Emmanuel LIVE is a dynamic, passionate and spirit-led worship band, a part of the worship ministry of Emmanuel Christian Center in Minneapolis. Emmanuel is a growing, diverse, multi-campus church that is passionate about seeing people away from God grow in faith and live a life of purpose.
Emmanuel LIVE first began in 2013 upon the debut of Emmanuel’s first LIVE worship recording, “Strong to Save”, releasing at #2 on iTunes Christian and Gospel charts. In October 2014, their sophomore album, Shine Brighter, immediately made waves again, debuting at #2 on iTunes; packed full of many more anthems for the Church.
What We Hope For, which released in July of 2016, gained attention again on iTunes charts but also earned a positive nod from Worship Leader Magazine, giving it four stars saying that “this live recording offers the church a trove of possibilities for their musical prayers. Well-crafted production and powerful songs, it’s ready for congregational adaptation of all kinds.”
To date, these songs have reached some of the farthest corners of the globe, being streamed online over a million times and downloaded in over 20 different nations of the world including Switzerland, Great Britain, Germany, Australia & Belgium and have streamed over 2.3 million times across all streaming platforms.
With single song releases of “Because You Say So”, “Seek You First” and “The King Has Overcome” blazing a trail on Spotify throughout 2017 and 2018, Emmanuel LIVE is thrilled to share the most anticipated collection of songs to date.
October 26th, 2018 marks the release of the first of two volumes – Just Want You Vol. 1 is packed with 9 anthems for the local church. Songs like “You Can Have All Of Me,” “More Of Heaven,” & “Remnant Rising” are already making waves as the team has been on the road this fall leading at conferences and conventions.
Available on every music platform May 31st, 2018, the newest offering of songs recorded live, Just Want You, Vol. 2 brings 9 more songs to the forefront while expanding the sonic space. With energetic songs like “Look To You” and “Feet into Motion;” alongside powerful worship declarations like “Worship You Alone” and “Because You Say So,” this collection of songs also includes some more introspective moments in songs like “Father Heart” and “Safe Place.”
“We are excited to see how God is using the music to reach people, though it’s not at all about whether or not it is successful in the eyes of the world.” Says Mark Alan Schoolmeesters, worship leader and founder of Emmanuel LIVE. “We are never setting out to make an album. We are burdened to write songs for our church, out of the journey of faith we are walking and have a strong desire to be a resource to THE local church and these recordings have been a vehicle to do just that.”
It is becoming more increasingly familiar to see Emmanuel LIVE at district youth conventions leading students in worship across the nation. Regardless of what happens with albums or opportunities to lead outside of the local church, the heartbeat of this team is and always will be anchored in the local community of the Emmanuel church family.
